Purchased the Bryce 1p earlier in the year and it’s never let me down even through the best of Scotland’s weather even into colder /wetter months. But to back up the fact that it’s an amazing product it’s got the after sales to match, damaged 1 section of the poles during bad weather when trying to move the tent, contacted customer services to buy a new one and they sent me out a full set free when they had no obligation. Can’t rate Paria enough
Having receiced the Bryce 1P this week I haven’t been able to take it outside so far, but pitched it in the house to get a first impression. So here it is: All in all the tent seems to be a really good value for this relatively low price. It has a great weight-to-space ratio and can be pitched within a few minutes. The materials appear to be high quality and the tent is well designed. I especially love the head space you have when sitting inside and the fact that the floor ist made of one piece without any seams that might become leaky over time. If you look at the details it becomes clear where the low price is coming from and why it can’t be compared to high-end products such as Exped, Hilleberg and so on: the workmanship on the fly sheet is not perfect. The door zipper is about 2 cm longer on one side than on the other and the fabric covering the door zipper doesn’t overlap properly. We’ll see if that becomes an issure during the first night out in the rain. If so, this should definitely be a warranty case. So far I’am giving it a four star rating instead of five because of the workmanship. Depending on its performance under real-life conditions it may go up a star or down a few...
I am really pleased with the tent. I have used it a few times now, including trekking in the Alps and it has held up really well, it is packable and lightweight. I have the two man tent and have used it with 2 people with ease. I am 6ft3 and fit fine (although if I were much taller I might struggle). I only wish there had been another colour available.
Overal the tent is a great product. It is easy to setup and packs down small enough for bikepacking trips. I am 1,94 meters long and i fit in it comfortably. The 2 drawbacks I have found. The cover over de zipper of the tent outer stands up right en does not realy cover the zipper. I think this is small production error. Last weekend I used it in rainy wether. When the door was open the wather dripped from the outer into the tent dripping on my sleeping pad. I think this is a small design flaw.
I just spent my first couple of nights in the Bryce 1P and so far I'm impressed by it. Good materials, good design, and put together very neatly. It makes for a small pack in my (back)pack, while being super spacious inside when pitched. I'm sure I'll be enjoying this tent on many occasions while hiking, biking, and camping.
